Your Talent & Gallo — A Perfect Pairing
When you are accepted into the Sales Leadership Development Program (Sales LDP) you’ll have an opportunity to experience a world-renowned, accelerated program designed to build a thorough foundation in consumer goods sales and sales management. You’ll be well prepared and well on your way towards an advanced career that can span sales, fine wine, distributor management, and beyond. The path to finding success is a three-phase program.

Phase I – Distributor Sales Representative
Our Sales LDP participants begin their training in sales and sales leadership as Sales Representatives and are provided with a comprehensive educational experience. While in your sales training, you will have the chance to work alongside sales leaders and gain valuable exposure to the total sales process. In the Sales Representative role, your responsibilities will include territory management, selling face-to-face, and creative merchandising in an established territory of accounts. Along the way, you’ll have a world of support and resources at your fingertips, including the chance to work with some of the most advanced mobile sales technology. In this phase, you will ultimately learn, develop, and put into practice important sales leadership skills as it relates to your personal performance.

Phase II – District Sales Manager
As you progress to the next phase, you’ll have your first promotion to District Sales Manager where you’ll showcase your leadership skills and lead a team of about 5-7 Sales Representatives. During this phase, you’ll have the chance to put knowledge into practice, developing skills such as strategic thinking, critical problem-solving, forecasting, and sales strategy. You learned how to be a successful Sales Representative, and now you are afforded the opportunity to train, educate, and motivate the members of your team. Each challenge you face will be as exciting as it is rewarding, and the basic principles of sales management learned here will be essential in every phase of your career. Your own personal training does not stop here as you learn, develop, and put into practice the critical skill of sales leadership of others.

Phase III – Multiple Sales Opportunities
A world of opportunity awaits you in the final phase of the program, and you are free to explore a variety of unique career paths in the sales channel. This could include an exciting progression into a higher level of sales team leadership and management, entering the dynamic worlds of on premise, fine wine or spirits, or transitioning into a role working in customer development calling on our chain retail customers at a corporate level. In this last and final phase, you will be able to call upon and combine the sales leadership skills you’ve developed for yourself and of others to produce sales results at an organizational level. With your new skill set and well-rounded experience, you’ll feel confident to take on the next leadership challenge.

Your specific timeline for Phases I, II, and III will depend on your own growth, development, and merit in preparation for the next assignment.
