Investment Analyst

The Agnew Company (“TAC”) is a private investment firm focused on the preservation and growth of multi-generational wealth for a fifth-generation, Pacific-Northwest family. The investment portfolio is diversified across traditional and alternative asset-classes, including: Private Equity, Commercial Real Estate, Timberlands, and Public Securities. The TAC Investment Team, comprised of independent investment professionals, oversees sourcing, screening, and executing new investment opportunities and actively manages the complete investment portfolio.

The Agnew Company is seeking to hire an analyst to support the Investment Team. The analyst role is a balance between financial analysis, business strategy, and sharp execution. In this role, the analyst will be exposed to investing across multiple asset classes, managing directly owned real assets, and learning to think as a long-term, value investor.

Job Title:        Investment Analyst

Reports to:     Investment Team
                       
Summary:      The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and process-driven individual who can assist the investment team in all aspects of portfolio management and investment analysis.

Duties:
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of the investment portfolio including review and analysis of monthly operating results
  • Conduct extensive asset-specific and industry/market due diligence
  • Create detailed financial models to support potential investment opportunities
  • Prepare and maintain materials for internal and external presentations
  • Assist, as required, various ad-hoc activities to support the Investment Team

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of total work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative analysis
  • Superior attention to detail, high energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a time-sensitive work environment
  • Record of high-achievement, superior maturity, and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline is preferred
  • Finance and accounting coursework
  • A demonstrated interest in finance and the capital markets
  • Start date is negotiable with candidate (students graduating in June 2020 or earlier are encouraged to apply!)
